modern house renovation

Whitchurch-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

2010

The brief for this refurbishment project was to create a welcoming and clearly indicated approach to the house, an improved external appearance and a simplification of the internal layout that would be better suited to the families needs. Works included a new single storey kitchen extension to the rear of the house, interior alterations, replacement windows and the rendering of the façades.  Two feature box windows were introduced to accentuate the perpendicular axis of the house, linking views onto the rear and front gardens.

”The architects were younger than the others but a good cultural fit. They were good listeners, receptive and very clear, with a passion for detail and imagination on how to use space.”
