We secured planning permission for a replacement dwelling scheme in Higclere, delivering a contemporary five-bedroom home arranged across two construction phases to enable the client to remain in occupation during the build. Phase one involved construction of the principal two-storey timber-framed dwelling with structural steelwork, extensive glazing and high-performance insulated fabric. Following completion and occupation of the new house, phase two comprised demolition of the original dwelling and construction of a linked garage outbuilding and associated external works. The amended scheme included alterations to the approved dwelling, access arrangements and residential curtilage under a part-retrospective application. The project focused on achieving a highly energy-efficient home through super-insulated construction, quality glazing and carefully detailed timber cladding.
