Timms Cottage is a traditional Cotswold stone cottage located within the historic village of Combe, surrounded by a number of Grade II listed buildings. Constructed from local limestone with characteristic stone walls and traditional roofing materials, the cottage forms part of the village’s distinctive vernacular character. The project involved the careful design of a modest rear extension and new dormer windows to provide improved accommodation while respecting the scale, proportions and architectural qualities of the existing building. Particular attention was given to materials, detailing and roof form to ensure the proposals sit comfortably within their sensitive historic setting.
