Farm Diversification Berkshire

LOCATION HAMPSTEAD NORREYS BERKSHIRE

PROJECT TYPE RURAL DEVELOPMENT

CLIENT RURAL ESTATE

PROJECT STATUS BUILT

This award-winning farm diversification project transformed a Grade II listed 18th Century stable block into four distinctive self-catering holiday cottages, alongside a village community shop, café and small business units. Careful attention was given to preserving the historic character of the buildings while introducing light-filled contemporary interiors and high-quality accommodation, including a specially adapted accessible studio cottage.

The scheme sought to support the long-term viability of the rural estate while creating a vibrant community hub at the heart of the village. Traditional materials and sensitive detailing were combined with modern interventions to celebrate the agricultural heritage of the site and create a welcoming destination for visitors and local residents alike.

”Four rather different light, bright, 'cottages' in 18th Century stableblock conversion.”
