PROJECT STATUS BUILT

A sensitive infill redevelopment and adaptive reuse project involving the conversion and extension of a former town-centre workshop within a constrained urban site. The scheme carefully balances contemporary living with the character and grain of the surrounding streetscape, creating a vibrant mixed-use development of residential accommodation and office space.

Over the years, the project evolved through a series of planning applications and permitted development approvals. The General Permitted Development Order (GPDO) enabled the conversion of former office accommodation (Class E) into residential units through the prior approval process, avoiding the need for a full planning application while still ensuring high-quality design and amenity standards.

The site currently comprises eight completed apartments and has recently secured planning permission for a contemporary penthouse rooftop extension, delivering two additional units and enhancing the long-term viability of the development.
