Edge Architecture assisted the Greenham Common Trust with a Listed Building Consent application for internal alterations at Herbert Potter House, a former vicarage and  prominent local listed building situated adjacent to St John’s Church, to the south of Newbury town centre.

The proposals involved sensitive internal alterations to create 8 assisted living residential units together with associated communal living facilities. The scheme was designed to adapt the building to better suit an assisted living environment, enabling residents to maintain a degree of independent living whilst benefiting from on-site support and shared amenities.

Edge Architecture guided the project through the Listed Building Consent process and continued to support the project during the delivery of the works on site, helping to ensure that the alterations were carried out sensitively and appropriately in relation to the character and significance of the building.
