We secured planning permission for a canal-side infill residential development in the conservation area of Hungerford, delivering three high-quality four-bedroom family homes with integrated garages.

Positioned within a constrained town-centre site, the scheme was carefully designed around protected TPO trees while responding sensitively to the surrounding historic context. The traditional architectural approach draws on the local vernacular through considered massing, materials and detailing, combined with layouts tailored for contemporary family living.

The project demonstrates a planning-led approach to residential development architecture, balancing conservation area requirements, landscape retention and site constraints while maximising the residential potential of this prominent canal-side site.

We led and coordinated the wider consultant team throughout the planning process, including arboricultural, archaeological, drainage, ecological, highways, heritage and planning specialists.
