STATUS BUILT

Planning permission was successfully secured for this replacement dwelling in the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, overcoming a series of previous refusals through a collaborative, design-led approach. We worked closely with specialist consultants including Certhia Consulting (arboriculture), Blue Tongue Construction (construction consultancy) and Syntegra (ecology) to guide the project through the planning process and on site. The original dwelling provided sub-standard accommodation and had a poor energy rating; whilst refurbishment was explored, it was not considered economically viable. The completed five-bedroom home combines traditional architecture with cutting-edge technology. The property features a 16kW air source heat pump, 8kW solar PV array with battery storage, EV charging, smart home technology, and an in-ground wine cellar. Designed around exceptional energy performance, the home provides luxurious accommodation with remarkably low running costs.
