This project transformed a modest bungalow into a substantial family home through the addition of a new first floor, garage extension, and comprehensive internal remodelling. The original brickwork was painted and the existing property was enhanced with traditional terracotta tile hanging to the new upper storey, creating a characterful appearance that sits comfortably within its village setting. The scheme provides five additional bedrooms and significantly improved living accommodation, allowing the home to meet the needs of a growing family. Careful consideration was given to the building’s scale, materials and relationship with its surroundings, maximising attractive views across the surrounding countryside while maintaining a sympathetic rural character.
