Built by Imagination
Discovering a treehouse hidden amongst the woodland was a wonderful reminder of how important it is for young people to have the freedom to explore and engage with the natural environment. Built by local children using fallen timber, reclaimed materials and plenty of imagination, the structure has evolved into far more than a simple den – it is a place of adventure, creativity and learning.
Experiences such as these help develop practical skills, confidence, independence and a lasting connection with the countryside. By encouraging opportunities for exploration and play within nature, we can help foster a genuine appreciation of the landscape, inspiring future generations to value, protect and care for the environments they will one day inherit.
